In the Bhagavatam it is mentioned that everybody likes to hear his own glories, so…Krishna also! That tendency comes from Krishna, so Krishna also likes it and His glories are being sung for many years now! Krishna is also pleased to see that this devotee is now giving himself in surrender.
So to Chant for Krishna’s pleasure means when we are not asking, when we don’t want anything else from the chanting, we have no other benefit we want from this, so we chant for Krishna’s pleasure.
Chant because we want to be liberated.
We chant because we heard no more birth and death..that’s not bad!
If you chant you may go to the spiritiual world..hey might check it out!
If you chant you get a spiritual experience …ok let’s chant Hare Krishna Hare Krishna …it’s not coming yet…maybe soon, Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare……..
There are many different motives for which we chant.
Some of us chant out of fear…. if I don’t chant I will go to hell, right, some chant out of fear.
One should chant just so that it is pleasing to Krishna.
