Chanting is not meant to be a musical performance.

It can be, but now we will try to perform it in a different mood – in the mood of performing a yagna.

In a yagna, the essence is to partake, just as when one throws grains in a fire, it’s nice if one is watching, but it is better if one throws the grains.

In the same way, it is alright to watch the performance of kirtan, but still:
Better To Partake!
