We should not just look for a comfortable spiritual life. Or look for where there is nectar and sort of follow the music. Or just always be there in all the parties, and think, “I want to be there at the feet of every Swami, and catch every little bit of nectar and every little bit of juice and in this way I’m really going to make it.”

One devotee said to Prabhupada:
“ Prabhupada, I always want to stay at your feet!”

Prabhupada said: ” That is going to be very difficult, because my feet are always moving “.

How can you always sit at Prabhupada’s feet? He’s going here and there and everywhere. So Prabhupada certainly wanted his disciples to not just sit at his feet – that was obviously what he meant. He wanted them to be mature and to take responsibility to understand what we are really doing here! That we are transforming the entire world! That our business is to really penetrate with Krishna Consciousness from all levels of society, transform society, and make Krishna Consciousness more and more prominent until it floods the entire world! And Prabhupada wanted his men and women to be concerned about that!

Though it is tempting to reside always at the lotus feet of the swamis , I like this post as it reinforces Krishnas statement in BG 4.19 when he states one who sees inaction in action and action in inaction, is intelligent among men, and he is in the transcendental position, although engaged in all sorts of activities. Nice, now I must get back into action!! atulya
