The holy name was bouncing of the walls continuously, at night it continued in our dreams, at times I woke up and just started kirtana. It bounced against the wall of our false ego, making cracks and gradually breaking it. In the Caitanya Bhagavata it is described how Lord Nityananda engaged a group of young boys for one month in continuous kirtana, they didn’t even stop to eat or sleep and at the end the boys in their ecstasy ripped entire trees out of the ground. During the Kirtana Mela, sometimes the kirtanas were wild and intense,other times mellow and meditative, an ocean of so many rasas, so many different types of taste. Some danced the whole week.
Then we sang and danced while pulling the chariot of Lord Jagannatha through the streets of Leipzig and still there was more festival to come the next day, Radhastami, the appearance day of Srimati Radharani. Remembering the pure loving devotional service of Srimati Radharani. Her love is like a mirror reflecting the unlimited qualities of Krsna and she continuous to discover newer and newer amazing qualities in Krsna and in this way her love is increasing eternally. That love is touching Krsna, who also feels His love for her increasing and increasing. There is no end to the pleasure in the spiritual world. The Mayor from Limbach, the village where the Kirtana Mela was held, personally visited the festival and enjoyed the festival and prasadam. The Mayor is a theologian with a keen spiritual interest and came across very favorably in a newspaper artikel; “We are a town open to the world and I find it fantastic, that people from the entire globe came to be our Guest. Generally speaking in connection with the Globalization a stronger effort should be made toward dialogue between various cultures.” “Such festivals with their impressive atmophere are very suitable toward realizing that objective and can have more impact on the consciousness then Seminars and speeches on the theme of Global Culture”, he added. “He would welcome the festival if it would again take place in Limbach in 2012.”
Meanwhile here in the material world, there is now a moment of peace and quiet,ki jaya, a moment of rest, and after catching up on some good sleep, we can try and catch up on some good japa and read the sastra. Hearing, chanting and remembering, sabde pare ca nisnatam, always bathing in transcendental sound continues also at a time of rest. Now may be also the time has come to reflect, how deeply can we become aborbed in chanting Krsna’s holy name. The Padma Purana has established that the name is non-different from Krsna, Himself, but we are not yet actually perceiving it in that way. We look at the chanting like a yajna, a sacrifice to attract the mercy of Krsna for our purification. We also look at the chanting as just fun when famous, powerful kirtan leaders such as Lokanatha Maharaja, BB Govinda Maharaja, Madhvava, Sacinandana Maharaja and many others are leading and we don’t forget the extra dimension to that fun of the eternal benefit that we have gained from the chanting. Then we flooded Leipzig with the ecstasy of Ratha Yatra and our heart became inundated more. On Radhastami started our reflection on pure devotional service of which Srimati Radharani is the emblem and we prayed to her for service knowing that no one can please Krsna the way that she can.
Now everyone has gone home! Where is my home? My home is with the devotees, who are my real friends, I am at home with them and visit them all over the world.

Krsna heeft een plan voor ons allemaal. Nu kun je zien hoe alles samen komt, je grootvader, je dochter, en Madanmohan Krishna dasa en ineens realizeer je je dat Krishna er altijd was en je altijd op weg geholpen heeft en eenvoudig gewacht heeft tot je klaar was.
De Kirtan Mela was geweldig en de ontmoeting met jou was speciaal. Ik ga nu voor een aantal maanden naar Zuid Afrika, Australia, India en ben dan weer eind December weer terug in Europa. Ondertussen kan je me persoonlijk mailen op kks@pamho.net.

Omdat mijn dochters en ik tijdens de Ratha Ratya in Leipzig onverwachts heel snel moesten vertrekken richting bus, hebben we u niet kunnen bedanken, wat ik graag alsnog langs deze weg doe. Oprecht veel dank Maharaj:
– voor het brengen van nieuw devotional licht in mijn leven
– voor de kracht en energie die u mij heeft gegeven om wat mijn grootvader altijd in mij had willen zien (sprituele vorming) te gaan herontdekken en ten volle te gaan ontwikkelen
– voor de antwoorden op zo vele vragen en in dat licht voor uw kostbare tijd die u mij – zo klein en onbetekenend – heeft geschonken. Thank you so much!
Ik heb na terugkeer uw adviezen meteen opgepakt. Nooit meer een druppel koffie, dus hou me nu aan alle 4 principes (de andere drie doe ik al ruim 5 jaar). Ik zal ze ook volhouden, absoluut!. Ook het aanbrengen van ” standards” in mijn leven vanwege de associatie met Krishna heb ik nu al ingezet. Ik offer al jaren bloemen in de ochtend, dat handhaaf ik. Ik kookte en offerde zo nu en dan ipv Kiran eten voor de deities van Kiran, maar na haar vertrek ontstaat in dat opzicht een leegte. Dat ga ik ondervangen door in de tempelkamer mijn eigen Krishnamurti te plaatsen en het koken en offeren op die manier te continueren. Op kantoor heb ik nu een Krishnabeeldje geplaatst om ook de associatie op kantoor niet uit het oog te verliezen als ik me verlies in dossiers. Krishna songs zingen en dansen deed ik al, dat zit in mijn bloed, dat hoort gewoon bij mijn natuur. Dit zit gelukkig goed.. En de tempels blijf ik bezoeken ook al gaat Kiran niet meer mee, die associatie, de ontmoeting met andere toegewijden is buitengewoon belangrijk, zo begreep ik van U.
Inmiddels heeft Kiran maandag jl. de ” echte” djappa voor me gehaald, en chanten doe ik nu trouw met regelmaat (ik haal de 16 ronden helaas nog niet..)
De Kirtanmela deed mij beseffen dat mijn love voor Radharani en Sri Krishna al jaren geworteld is in mijn ziel (ik raakte tijdens de Mela helemaal in extase).Ik heb daar alleen nooit volledig, zoals het hoort, uiting aan gegeven. Mijn dochter probeerde mij te overreden, maar we bleven steken in discussies over ” nut en noodzaak van werken” versus ” worshipping Krishna” in een soort ” of-of” constructie. Ik ging me schuldig voelen dat ik 40 u per week werk en wat bestuursfuncties heb plus het raadslidmaatschap. U heeft me overtuigd dat die combinatie kan (dus “en-en”) als je je (arbeids)plichten maar doet in Krishna’s bewustzijn. Met Kiran kwam ik hier helaas niet uit.Ik ga wel mijn bestuursfuncties skippen, omdat ik meer tijd wil investeren in knowledge en bhakti….
U Maharaj heeft me goed wakker geschud. Na terugkeer uit Leipzig heb ik ontzettend veel gehuild, omdat ik Krishna jarenlang heb verwaarloosd, terwijl hij me continu liefde gaf, bescherming bood, er altijd was daar waar ik dacht door de grond te zakken. Hij heeft me zo rijkelijk toebedeeld met 2 allerliefste slimme spirituele dochters..Waar heb ik dat aan verdiend? Zoveel liefde en genade… Ik schaam me diep!!!. Hierin ligt voor mij ook de uitdaging – om in navolging van mijn broertje Henk (Madanmohan Krishnadas) – mijn energie met buitengewone toewijding te gaan inzetten in serving and loving Radharani en Sri Krishna. Mijn grootvader kan weer trots op me zijn. Maar los daarvan, what’s more fullfilling dan Radharani en Krishna te plezieren and to go back to the spiritual Platform……
