(Kadamba Kanana Swami, Leicester, UK, May 2011) Initiation Lecture
It is said that when a log of wood is burning in fire, then are you going to make a big thing about the quality of the wood?
“No, I think there are cracks in this wood! And there’s a hole there, yes look at that!”
Who cares about that! So the material desires are already burning in the fire, but if we make offenses against the holy name, then we are pouring water on the log, and then the burning of our material desires will be slowed down, and then the whole process will be slowed down. And ultimately we will not be able to approach Krishna.
Krishna is merciful, but Krishna is the Supreme Pure, and if we want to go before Krishna, then we must be pure!
