From New York City, Kadamba Kanana Maharaja travelled on, back to Europe, this time visiting the Czech Republic. The first stop was in Nove Sady, a small village in Czech (13 March). Many grihasta families moved to this village and now even a new temple is in construction. Maharaja held a nice evening program there, with kirtana and a lecture on the Caitanya Caritamrita.

Next, after giving the morning class, he went to the Prague temple, which is now situated in a small village close to the city. During the whole stay, kirtana programs were held every evening in different locations like the two Govinda restaurants in Prague, followed by lectures.  These lectures were mostly based on the Caitanya Caritamrita, glorifying the chanting of the Holy Name.

On Friday (16 March), after a program at a tea house in Benasov, Maharaja went to the Czech farm community to stay over night and lead the morning program. The farm is filled with enthusiastic devotees and blessed by the presence of wonderful Gaura Nitai deities, who get offered self produced foodstuffs.

The peak of the week though was a program on Saturday evening (17 March). Maharaja went to a Thai Chi club in Prague where about one hundred devotees gathered to do four hours of fired up kirtana! Maharaja led and rocked the last hour and then gave a talk, speaking about how Krsna came to this material world in the form of the Maha Mantra.

Now Kadamba Kanana Maharaja is in Leipzig, Germany. He is resting here for two days, just giving the Bhagavatam classes (which can be viewed online here), preparing himself for the trip to South Africa on 21 March.
