Life is very short and if somehow or other we can spend time with the words of Lord Krsna, then it would bring auspiciousness. Srila Prabhupada used to say that when the Bhagavad Gita is kept in someone’s house then from that day on, the house has become a temple. Prabhupada said the Gita is like a Deity- it’s as much worshipable as Krsna Himself because there’s no difference between Krsna and His words. In this way the Bhagavad Gita is a wonderful presence in our life because we can always take it. We may wonder, ‘how do I connect with Krsna?’ It’s not so easy. We are caught up in so many things in the world and the world is not always designed for spiritual life. The demand of our modern work situation is intense so devotees are all struggling a little bit to fit in spiritual life. That is just the way we live nowadays. But a verse of the Bhagavad Gita a day, everyone can manage. No one can say we have no time to read a verse of the Bhagavad Gita. Just one verse and one purport of Srila Prabhupada every day, that anyone can do. It doesn’t matter how busy you are.
