A few days ago, we observed Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance day. I was in Chowpatty that night, on my way to South Africa. So, there was a big gathering in the evening and many people were speaking and making different offerings. Because most of the speakers had never met Prabhupada in person, they felt that there was some distance between them and Prabhupada. But actually, the truth of the matter is that the distance is there because they are not cent-per-cent surrendered to his desires.
In the same way, the distance between us and Krsna is not a physical distance. It is not distance that we are here in the material world and Krsna is there in the spiritual world, so faraway. No, it’s that we are faraway from following Krsna’s instructions, it’s only that. The distance that separates us from Bhagavad-gita is the distance that separates us from Krsna. If we cent-per-cent make the Bhagavad-gita our own, then we’re also cent-per-cent at the lotus Feet of Krsna!
