clever dogThe definition of intelligence that is applied here, is the definition of the Vedic scriptures which is that one acts according to the Absolute Truth just as it is said, dadami buddhi-yogam tam (BG 10.10) that Krsna will give intelligence. It’s not that one is born with a certain intelligence and that’s basically it; you have your IQ (intelligence quota) and its fixed. No, the definition of intelligence is that one understands what ones duty is and subsequently acts upon that duty – understanding that duty is to come to Krsna, dharmam tu sakshad bhagavat-pranitam (SB 6.3.19). In this way, standards are established and an intelligent person will always act according to such duty.
