Back in good old Leipzig! It was here that my service began. Almost two years ago, just a day after Nityananda Prabhu’s appearance day, celebrated in the Leipzig temple, I joined Kadamba Kanana Swami to assist him in his travels. The original plan was to travel together for three months and then separate again after his Vyasapuja. Time flew by, Vyasapuja arrived and not only did Maharaja initiate me but when I asked him for instructions, he told me that I should just stay with him as his assistant. Time is still flying by and almost two years have passed now. My diary grows – unlimited stories accumulate of this holy person, who many of us call our spiritual master. I try to record Maharaja’s travels live on the blog and share the experience so that you can stay informed, connected and inspired. I honestly do hope that this creates some valuable input to your spiritual life that indeed creates a small sacred space for all of you. I don’t know why I get this opportunity to travel with and directly assist Maharaja but one reason is certainly due to the blessings of my god-family and friends. Thank you for your kind support!
Leipzig feels a little bit like home, not only for me but also for Kadamba Kanana Swami. He knows his room in which he has stayed many times. He knows his walks in the nearby park – passing Leipzig’s Govardhana along the banks of the East German Yamuna, all the way to a parikrama path around Radhakund… He even knows the kitchen in which he already gave chapati lessons to his disciples. In this way, Leipzig provided space to rest and relax. During his five day stay, Maharaja gave three evening talks, two of them in the temple and one at the apartment of Harinama Cintamani Mataji’s. All the devotees gathered there for sweet bhajanas, a beautiful talk on the glories and pastimes of Caitanya Mahaprabhu and tasty prasadam.
On Saturday morning (2 February), Kadamba Kanana Swami boarded a train, heading to his next destination – Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. There he was received warmly by disciples who gathered to welcome him with harinama and flower garlands. We’ll report soon on the ecstatic stay in the Czech yatra.
