(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 5 February 2013, Prague, Czech Republic, Srimad Bhagavatam 7.10.43-44)
We read Srila Prabhupada’s Lilamrta and it’s as good as the Srimad Bhagavatam. Whatever we read about the life of Prabhupada and his activities, has the same potencies. Prabhupada said that the words in the songs of Bhakti Vinoda Thakura and Srila Narottama Dasa Thakur are as good as the sastras. Prabhupada said, ‘For us, it is absolute!’ So, we think like that about Prabhupada. The sastra is meant to be absolute! It is meant to be the truth and you cannot argue with it.
Sometimes you can say, ‘Well, I don’t understand this point.’ But Prabhupada said that in India, they still have the custom where if you said that it is a Vedic injunction then nobody will not argue it. Because the Vedas are considered to be puruṣaiḥ and not coming from men, it manifests from the breath of the Supreme Lord and can give you pure transcendental knowledge!
