The gopis are always glorifying Krsna. That is their business. That is what they do – simply glorify Krsna and make arrangements for the pleasure of Krsna’s senses. He is Hrsikesa, so they are always engaged in pleasing the senses of Krsna.
The sankirtan movement is non-different from that. When Rameshwar started the sankirtan newsletter, he wrote in one of the editions that the sankirtan devotees are just like devotees, who, rather than meet Krsna themselves, try to unite others with Krsna. When Prabhupada read that, he said, “Oh, you have understood.You have understood!”
So yes, the same spirit is there – the same spirit to not only personally glorify Krsna but to increase the glorification of Krsna and to make everyone glorify Krsna. That is the sankirtan movement! That is the activity of the spiritual world and that is the ocean of transcendental love which is now flooding the material world, but which is already overflowing in the spiritual world!
