(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 19 April 2013, Stockholm, Sweden, Bhagavad-gita 10.9)
We see that the Lord expands himself, the Lord worships himself, and the Lord worships his devotees. That is the nature of the spiritual world – everybody is expressing their love through worship and appreciation.
Spiritual relationships are not casual. Spiritual relationships are very deep because there’s deep appreciation, and appreciation is expressed in worship. Therefore worship is part of love and is part of loving exchanges.
Here, our worship is oftentimes a formality. We have a form of worshiping the deity because we are formally trying to reconnect with the deity. But in the spiritual world, worship is an expression of love and appreciation – a natural relationship. So, it is nice that the devotees worship the Lord and his devotees, and the Lord worships his devotees. It is a natural expression of love.
