I just arrived on Saturday in Mayapur, so this report is limited. Maharaj has been super busy with Mayapur Master Plan meetings. As far as I know, things are going well. Although Maharaj is personally inclined towards activities of a more brahminical nature, still he sees this as a wonderful service opportunity for Sri Mayapur Dhama, so he gladly does what he can to help out.
Yesterday (9 September), Maharaj gave the Bhagavatam class for the Russian community. Maharaj spoke about the cosmos according to Bhagavatam, and how there is much speculation in modern cosmology like when a modern scientist sees dust particles clustering together, and then proclaims that he is seeing universes being created. Wild speculations!
Maharaj also spoke on how the Temple of Vedic Planetarium is Srila Prabhupada’s great trick. First and foremost, it is a wonderful home for Sri Sri Panca Tattva, Sri Sri Radha Madhava and Lord Nrsimhadeva. But also, it is Srila Prabhupada’s trick to make people come and see the Vedic version of the universe. Many will come and some will raise their noses and say, “I disagree,” but that is okay, because we will give them prasadam, “Here try this gulab jamun… Here have this piece of cake,” and they will not know what hit them…
Today, Maharaj left for Johannesburg/South Africa, but he will return to Mayapur in early November. Hare Krsna!
