Editor – Transcriber

We are looking for a dedicated editor / transcriber with experience in editing english texts. If you can also edit audio then that would be benefit for us. Check out the requirements for this position here.

Transcribers

A transcriber converts audio recordings into proper english texts, using our writers guidelines, and creates articles on KKSBlog. As a transcriber you will listen to recordings of Kadamba Kanana Swami and select interesting, serious and sometimes funny anecdotes or quotes that make a great articles.

You will work closely together with our in-house editor who is responsible for the coordination of transcriptions, the editing of your texts and the publication of all articles. Your articles are published on KKSBlog, the newsletter, Facebook and Twitter. They also get republished on Dandavats so you need to make sure your texts are up to standard, grammatically correct and consistent in quality. In this way we maintain quality and articles can be used directly for further publications.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of English (first or second language recommended)
  • Use our writers guidelines to transcribe texts
  • Work together with our in-house editor

Experience with transcribing and WordPress (or other CMS) would be a plus but is not required. You will receive training in those areas where needed by our editor or administrator.

Media archiver

Collect, edit and archive media from social media, websites and other sources from Kadamba Kanana Swami & Jayadvaita Swami on a regular basis.

Experience needed: familiar with social media, audio editing, basic computer skills.

Youtube channel Manager

Set up and manage the KKSBlog youtube channel.

Experience needed: Familiar with google products, youtube, uploading movies.
